The concept for the Alabama Sports Complex came about after the founder attended a tournament in another town. Teams in the same age group were split among multiple venues, with some having to rush between venues to make game times. Some fields were great, others not so much. And some teams were staying more than 40 minutes away because there weren’t enough quality hotel rooms near the complex to accommodate all the teams.
There had to be a better way.
With the vision of creating a premiere sports complex in Birmingham, Alabama, the Alabama Sports Complex was formed in 2015. At this time, plans include facilities for field and diamond sports, as well as beach volleyball, tennis, and indoor events.
The organization has been recognized by the IRS as a 501 (c) organization.
